Every construction site should be safe, and every construction worker should be treated fairly and with respect.  To ensure that this happens, we need active support and participation from workers.  Any and all help will be appreciated and valued.  Here is a list of activities you can volunteer for to help us maintain a fair and safe workplace.

Instructions:

Please let us know the activities you would like to volunteer for and complete the section indicating your name, address, telephone number, trade, and union affiliation.

  • Help with website.
  • Help with Facebook and other web-based research on workers and contractors.
  • Take photos for website.
  • Help with social events for union and unrepresented workers.
  • Collect names and addresses of unrepresented workers.
  • Make house calls to unrepresented workers.
  • Participate in phone banks.
  • Distribute handbills
  • Participate in rallies, demonstrations and mass meetings
  • On jobsites, I will watch for:
    • OSHA violations
    • Wage and hour violations
    • Prevailing wage violations
    • Wage theft
    • ADA violations
    • Race/gender discrimination
    • Workers’ comp. Insurance violations
